First, you should add the skills you are an expert in before adding those in which you are proficient or a novice. This arrangement helps attract employers’ attention to your most valuable skills before they scan the skills in which you have little experience.

You can also place your skills side-by-side in columns to maximize space instead of listing them underneath one another.

You should only include what you are an expert in or have significant experience with instead of using everything in the job description. Also, try to show off all your capabilities by including an equal number of hard and soft skills.

Before creating your list of skills and level of proficiency, review the job description to determine the desired qualifications, traits, and experience level. Balance the skills between expert and proficient levels to reflect the level of experience the employer needs.
