Cypress Employment Services has a client in the Birmingham area looking for an Administrative Assistant.

Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support including inputting and tracking jobs, invoicing, and preparing bid documents. This position is also responsible for other clerical duties as needed.


  • Provides administrative assistance to ensure the region operates in accordance with established safety procedures and policies, and is in compliance with OSHA and DOT rules and regulations.
  • Ensures ethical behavior and compliance with the Code and Conduct for all activities with the area of responsibility.
  • Confidentially handles sensitive information
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquires and questions.
  • Oversees the completion of new hire forms , including I-9 completion, compensation, and benefits documents.
  • Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.
  • Attends all safety and health training as required
  • Observe and practice all safety procedures and personal policies (PPE)

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. occasionally with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods while using hands, fingers, and wrists repetitively on a keyboard.
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day.
  • Must be adaptable to change with short notice.

Education/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, 3-5 years clerical or administrative experience, preferably within a service or manufacturing environment. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.


Pay: $16 – $18 DOE

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7 am – 4 pm.

Employment type: internship.
