About The Opportunity
The Assistant Vice Chancellor provides leadership and support to all coop, employer engagement, and talent pathway areas of the Office of the Chancellor. This position will also oversee all innovation and partnership intended to enhance and advance education and experiential learning. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will work across the Global University System to manage innovation and partnerships for student experience. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will work with the VC of Innovation and Growth and the VC of Design and Operations to manage early innovation across the university. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will support the VC of Innovation and Growth in the division’s innovation strategy and build opportunities for innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities for employers, faculty, staff and students.The Assistant Vice Chancellor AVC will support the division’s use of technology platforms and will work closely with ITS to integrate experiential learning, particularly Coop, XN and Career Design with technology development.
The Assistant Vice Chancellor will require close and collaborative working relationships with colleges and regional campus and other departments including ITS, EDGE and Enrollment, student groups as it relates to coop, employer engagement and talent pathways. The Assistant Vice Chancellor is expected to stay up to date on trends and developments in the field and regularly interacts with and sources knowledge from research publications, professional associations, and colleagues in the field.
Specifically the Assistant Vice Chancellor will support the VC of Innovation and Growth develop goals and strategic plan for the institutional implementation, development and integration of employer relations, coop and new employer products.
Qualifications for this position include: |Masters required, MBA preferred, in a field closely aligned with experiential learning and partner engagement |At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in partnerships |Demonstrated experience building new products for employers and learning |Demonstrated ability to establish and pursue a successful innovation agenda for employer engagement |Strong communication skills with the ability to write, speak, and present effectively to a wide variety of audiences including executives |Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to use sound judgment to make decisions and resolve problems diplomatically |Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan and successfully execute multiple projects with conflicting priorities and concurrent deadlines in a dynamic environment |Ability to forge collaborative relationships with peers and to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels
