If so, our Registered Behavior Technician (Floater) Position might be a great fit for you!

A successful candidate for this position must have a strong interest in working 1:1 with children with varying levels of skill strengths and maladaptive behaviors in a highly individualized and supported environment. Sessions may be carried in the clinic or in-home setting. Early Autism Services (EAS) is an established provider of ABA with over 11 years of experience implementing high quality programming nationwide. We are looking for a motivated and driven candidate to grow with our organization and to work well with our team. This will be a minimum of 30 hours or more guaranteed week position paid at $24 an hour providing direct therapy services on a rapid PRN (as needed, on call) basis. This means that your schedule will fluctuate daily based on the needs of the clients needing services each day, and as requested by the branch leadership team. You will be guaranteed 30 hours of work per week, including paid drive time. You are expected to be available up to 40 hours per week. In addition, being on call requires you to be available to cover any therapy session within 1 hour of your home, as needed. On call means that you are able to be present to cover a session within an hour’s notice. Due to the nature of the position, you may not request time off during any week that includes an EAS recognized holiday. On Call Floaters are relied upon to provide coverage for technicians who may request time off during the holidays, when coverage needs are more prominent. On Call Floaters will have priority when requesting time off on non-holiday weeks, when 2 weeks of notice or more of any time off request is provided. If you are not needed as a floating technician, you will be assigned administrative tasks (creating learning materials, training newer technicians, etc. to meet the 30 hours weekly).

The Duties Of The Behavior Technician Are

  • Working with the child in a number of skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine/gross motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-academic skills.
  • Integrating the child’s family into therapy sessions.
  • Data collection and making data-based decisions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays.
  • Attending team meetings and coordinating with a team of therapists.

Required Experience

  • This position requires transportation and the ability to arrive at a client’s home or EAS clinic within an hour or less of being notified of a session needing coverage.
  • Bachelors degree or pursuit of degree in psychology, education, child development, sociology, social work or related field.
  • Experience working with young children or children with disabilities.
  • RBT (Preferred)

Business hours are from 8 am to 7 pm, and some Saturdays. You should expect to be on call during those days and times.
