Siemens Mobility Customer Services is responsible for maintaining trainsets across North America. We support our locomotives and passenger coaches over more than 20-year-long contracts. Continuous improvement of our best-in-class maintenance services is close to our heart.

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and hard-working Technical Product Owner to help us to innovate our maintenance processes. Together with our customers, you will drive a culture change from preventative and OEM-recommended maintenance to deductive, condition-based care so that our customers’ assets’ availability, reliability, and maintainability are significantly improved.

We set up a dedicated business innovation program that supports our maintenance service projects with the creativity and implementation of innovative maintenance technology. The Technical Product Owner leads the technical development of a web application that further improves our service efficiency.

These applications support project managers in real-time tracking budgeted and incurred material costs. A user can further perform a profit/loss and break-even analysis for every component on a trainset. New features such as a business-case simulation will unlock new opportunities by supporting our service engineers in making the right technology decisions for our 20-years long service contracts. For this role, showing initiative is close to your heart. A constantly evolving and changing technological environment is a challenge that motivates you, and you quickly adapt. • Lead the web application implementation by applying internal and external software-engineering resources. Translate business requirements into technical requirements and dependencies by formulating user stories and functional and non-functional conditions.
  • Own the negotiations of a statement of work with third parties or make recommendations for your future technical team.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, our Maintenance Contracts Business Segment, Finance, and Legal to implement the innovative web application. You like to establish new IT partnerships and collaborate closely with our global Railigent development team.

Required Professional Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Tech Lead, or equivalent, leading multi-functional teams
